King Askew

C. King Askew

King Askew, a founding partner of Brinson Askew Berry, began practicing law in 1971, after graduating from the University of Georgia’s School of Law.  In his forty-plus years of practice, King has been involved in nearly every area of the law.  But as time has passed, King’s practice has focused on estate matters and advising business clients, including those in health care.  King’s clients include high-net worth families seeking estate planning advice and strategies, as well as businesses, such as physician practice groups needing corporate structuring, governance, and day-to-day legal advice.

In both estate matters and general corporate matters, King’s practice extends beyond just an advisory role; he is an accomplished and effective trial lawyer.  In 2008, King was recognized for his high-caliber trial work with his induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers as a fellow. He is also regularly recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer in the Business/Corporate practice area.

King and his wife, Mary Ann, have one daughter, Edgeley, and two grandchildren, Anna Burns and Darden.  King and Mary Ann live in Rome and are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome.
