Bob Brinson, King Askew, Bob Berry and Andy Davis have been named Georgia Super Lawyers for 2014.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
“It’s an honor to have four of our partners on this list of successful colleagues around the state,” said Askew, managing partner of the firm. “This is a reflection of not only the great work we have done in the past year, but also the firm’s focus on client service.”
Brinson, who was named in the Business Litigation category, was selected for the list for the 11th time. One of the firm’s founding partners, he specializes in general business litigation, class action, complex litigation, personal injury, civil and voting rights, constitutional challenges, and government law.
Askew and Berry were both named to the list for the 10th time. Askew, named on the Business/Corporate list, is a founding partner and focuses his practice in contract and business litigation, as well as healthcare law. Berry is a senior partner that concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, professional and insurance defense and earned recognition in the Civil Litigation Defense category.
Davis, a senior partner, was named to the list for the ninth time and joined Berry under the Civil Litigation Defense category. Davis specializes in business litigation, personal injury, governmental official liability, and product liability.
Davis has also been named to Legal Leaders magazine’s Georgia’s Top Rated Lawyers List 2014. The attorneys featured on the list achieved peer review ratings of AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell. Attorneys receiving AV Preeminent rating were ranked highest by their peers for professional excellence.
Super Lawyers is an exclusive list with only five percent of the state’s lawyers meeting the criteria for inclusion in the magazines’ listing. Super Lawyers Magazine features the list and profiles of selected attorneys and is distributed to attorneys throughout Georgia and the ABA-accredited law school libraries. It is also published as a special section in leading city and regional magazines across the country, including Atlanta Magazine.
The firm was also featured in an article in the magazine “Two Bobs and a King” which chronicles the history of the firm.
