One of northwest Georgia’s leading law firms gets a new member beginning May 1st as veteran attorney Frank Jones joins the firm. Officials of Brinson, Askew, Berry, Seigler, Richardson & Davis express their happiness in welcoming the new association.
Jones has a very distinguished record of law practice in Rome and this area dating back to the early 1970’s. A native of Canton, Georgia, he attended the University of Georgia, receiving his A.B. degree in 1965, and pursued his law career at Emory University, earning a J.D. degree in 1967. While at Emory Law School, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, noted law fraternity and a member of the Bryan Society.
Between 1977 and 1983, Frank Jones served as Attorney for Floyd County, advising the Commission on legal matters affecting the county and its citizens. He is a member of the Rome Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Bar Association. In the Georgia State Bar, he has served as a member of the Board of Governors 1980 to 1982. He served as Vice President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association between 1973 and 1983.
Jones will continue an active law practice in his new association and specialize in fields where he has many years of experience. These include domestic relations, plaintiff’s personal injury, property and condemnation law, as well as other specialties.
Attorney Jones is a member of the Board of Directors of Wachovia Bank of Rome, and an active member of the Gideons Society. He is a past president of the Coosa Country Club.
Brinson, Askew, Berry, Seigler, Richardson & Davis maintain their offices in the historic Omberg House located on Rome’s West 1st Street downtown.
