Brinson Askew Berry's Lee Carter represented a regional bank in a matter related to a borrower’s default on a promissory note in Haralson County Superior Court. The bank moved for summary judgment, which the Court granted on Jan. 24, 2014, awarding the bank damages of the principal owed under the note; interest through the date of judgment; 15% attorney’s fees based on the principal and interest owed under the note; and post-judgment interest. The judgment is pending appeal.
