Firm partners Mark Webb and Kristy Treadaway represented the beneficiary of a life insurance policy in litigation against an insurance company due to the insurance company’s failure to pay death proceeds. The action was filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Rome Division. In February, the Court denied the insurance company’s summary-judgment motion, which allowed the beneficiary’s breach-of-contract claim to proceed to trial. Soon after the Court denied the insurance company’s motion, Webb and Treadaway were able to secure a favorable settlement for their client.
