Woodstock Joins Other Northwest Georgia Municipalities in Opioid Class-Action Lawsuit

The Woodstock City Council has voted to join a growing class-action lawsuit against more than 20 manufacturers and wholesalers of prescription opioid drugs which is being led by Brinson Askew Berry partner Andy Davis.

Davis is the lead attorney in the litigation. Davis said the class action and others like it are only the first step in a process of recovering from the national opioid crisis.

In addition to Woodstock, Rome, Cartersville, Floyd County, Chattooga County and Whitfield County are the other plaintiffs from Northwest Georgia.
