After a long law career in northwest Georgia, Frank M. Jones retired from Brinson Askew Berry on Dec. 31.

The Canton native had practiced law in the area since the early 1970s.

Jones’ practice included domestic relations, plaintiff’s personal injury, property and condemnation law. He also served as attorney for Floyd County (1977-83). Jones was a member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors from (1980-82) and vice president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (1973-83).

Active in the community, Jones is a member of the Board of Directors of Wachovia Bank of Rome, an active member of the Gideons Society, and past president of the Coosa Country Club.
