We join with our fellow lawyers and friends in offering our condolences to the family of U.S. Federal Court Judge Harold L. Murphy, 95, who passed away Wednesday. He leaves a four-decade legacy of fairness and wisdom across the northwest Georgia judicial community.

Appointed by President Jimmy Carter, Judge Murphy served at the federal court level for more than 40 years. After his retirement in 2017, he continued to serve as a senior judge.
