ROME, Ga. (Jan. 2025) – Brinson Askew Berry, a leading Northwest Georgia-based law firm practicing regionally and statewide, has named Jacob C. Harper IV partner.

Harper joined Brinson Askew Berry in 2022. He focuses on clients in the firm’s business, corporations, and real estate practice areas. Before joining Brinson Askew Berry, Harper was an associate at Balch and Bingham in Montgomery, Ala. where he assisted with litigation in state and federal court. He also served for five years as Associate Counsel for the Alabama Department of Finance and the Alabama Governor’s Office.

Harper is a cum laude graduate from the University of Alabama School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree in Forest Engineering at Auburn University.

Active in the community, Harper is on the Board of Directors for the Free Clinic of Rome and a member of this year’s Leadership Rome class. Leadership Rome is a program of the Rome-Floyd Chamber of Commerce that educates emerging and existing community leaders to become integral players in the future of the Rome-Floyd community. Harper lives in Rome with his wife and their two young boys.
